I grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan and always felt a connection to animals. I had the opportunity to complete my veterinary degree in Edinburgh, Scotland and am proud to say I graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, and I am a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. During my time in Scotland I got to experience many different things, including haggis, lambing, and Irn Bru. After I completed my veterinary degree, my partner and I decided to move back to his home town, Miramichi.
I started working at Waterview and am slowly turning into a Maritimer. The environment at the clinic is incredible and I feel like I’m part of a big family. My favorite part of veterinary medicine is seeing new puppies and kittens grow up into healthy, thriving adults.
My interests include: nutrition, preventative medicine, dermatology, and surgery. I love coming to work every day because there’s always surprises. Every day is a school day! Growing up I had a few different pets including a betta fish named Spike and Chowchows named Brandy and Shanou.
