For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of working in Veterinary Medicine. Even at that young age, I understood the connections that people have with their pets. So, it was no surprise that at five years old I already knew that I wanted to work in the veterinary industry. Becoming an RVT has allowed me to pursue a career I am truly passionate about.
In June of 2021, I received my Veterinary Technician Diploma from Oulton College. I then moved back to Miramichi to begin my career here at Waterview Animal Hospital. In August 2021, I passed my Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) and became a Registered Veterinary Technician, fulfilling a lifelong dream.
As a Veterinary Technician, no two days are alike. Every day there are different patients and cases, allowing for endless opportunities to learn and improve on my recently acquired skills. An area of interest for me is exotic species, in fact I have my own rabbit – A spoiled Holland Lop named “Cricket”. Fun fact about me? I love making my coworkers laugh, I believe a joke or two can go a long way during a long or stressful shift.
I am grateful to have achieved a lifelong dream and to have been accepted into the Waterview team with open arms - What better way to spend your life than doing something you love surrounded by people who all feel the same way?
